QA Analyst

Eagle is currently seeking a QA Analyst for a one (1) year contract opportunity, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Designing, developing, implementing test plans, strategies, and leading testing activities with partners and junior internal test staff;
  • Developing test scripts utilizing comprehensive business requirements, functional documentation, and processes;
  • Reviewing user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable;
  • Reviewing application design artifacts to ensure that solution is testable, and easy to automate;
  • Performing manual testing, the scope of which will encompass all functionalities of services as a prequel to automation;
  • Assisting in test defect management process, monitor, and report on defect resolution to management;
  • Actively participating in user story definition, providing feedback, work breakdowns, and estimates;
  • Ensuring that user expectations are met during the testing process;
  • Validating that user expectations are achieved during the testing process;
  • Interacting with various resources at workspace like business, development as well as analyst teams;
  • Supporting technical support staff and Application Developers to identify and resolve defects;
  • Assisting in creating test automation frameworks and tools;
  • Analysis of across systems to determine cause of defects;
  • Advising, reviewing, completing, and facilitating the analysis and testing of new systems;
  • Advising on tool usage and makes recommendations on new tools;
  • Analysis of complex system components to determine cause of defects and resolve;
  • Identifying and determining strategies to mitigate technical risks;
  • Planning, prioritizing, and completing multiple complex concurrent tasks in an environment of changing deadlines, priorities, and requirements;
  • Supporting task breakdown and estimating of any complexity;
  • Supporting testing across multiple enterprise systems;
  • Creating and executing manual test cases as well as exploratory testing for both functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Coaching others to write user acceptance criteria requirements in a structured fashion amenable to automated testing;
  • Working with multiple testing automation tools and frameworks;
  • Creating the standards and guidelines for test automation;
  • Analyzing the capabilities of toolsets and providing recommendations;
  • Creating and coding test 'fixtures' to enable automated regression testing of acceptance tests;
  • Working on projects/programs with complex non-functional requirements and creates performance test strategies and plans;
  • Running performance tests with different tool sets and understands test results and suggests performance tuning;
  • Identifying test environment and data needs based on non-functional requirements;
  • Developing innovative testing techniques for quick testing cycles and effective testing coverage;
  • Remaining current with trends for business analysis, testing and development practices; and,
  • Coaching, teaching, and mentoring on new approaches to business analysis, testing, and development practices.
Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have;
  • Manual Testing experience;
  • Knowledge in Blackbox and Whitebox testing techniques;
  • Understanding of both Agile and traditional quality metrics to define innovative metrics and provide key insights into work progress as well as opportunities to management;
  • Advanced skills to create testing strategies and plans for cross cutting initiatives;
  • Understanding the upcoming technology trends in the industry and suggests new approach to the team and management;
  • Experience with Selenium and UFT, Cucumber, JIRA, HPSM, Confluence;
  •  Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Expert at writing and developing technical documentation;
  • The ability to promote ideas, and gain the cooperation of others;
  • Willingness to learn; 
  • Excellent collaboration ability;
  • Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing;
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications; and,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
