Eagle is currently seeking two (2) Desktop Engineers for six (6) month contract opportunities, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Supporting end-user devices such as laptops and desktops;
  • Supporting authorized software on end-user and shared devices;
  • Escalating technology issues to Technical Lead / Manager where required;
  • Working with customers to manage expectations, keeping them informed and strive for customer satisfaction;
  • Ensuring service interruptions are minimized and the value of changes implemented are maximized;
  • Understanding and appreciating the impact of any change to the user environment;
  • Providing value-added user training where appropriate on use of desktop and workspace technologies;
  • Supporting team goals to manage inventory ensure required resources are available;
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings as needed;
  • Performing general system support functions and other cross-functional duties, as assigned;
  • Documenting all actions taken on project tasks assigned;
  • Fulfilling requests as per documented instructions;
  • Completing and closing all project tasks where capable;
  • Documenting fulfillment of requests;
  • Supporting Service Desk by responding to escalations on requests;
  • Following established procedures and escalation lists;
  • Learning new or changed procedures;
  • Learning to use new tools or techniques;
  • Documenting common techniques and review with more senior staff for publishing as a knowledge article; and,
  • Seeking clarification on procedures if uncertain and recommend appropriate changes.
Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:
  • A University, College, or pursuing a Technical Degree in Information Technology;
  • Certifications like A+, Network +, MCSA, MCITP, MCP or knowledge of required technologies, such as Microsoft MDT are desirable;
  • Two (2) to five (5) years' experience working with Information Technology;
  • MDT / SCCM knowledge of imaging for mass deployments;
  • Experience with Microsoft profile setup and transfer;
  • Experience demonstrating a basic level of knowledge of the following technologies: desktop imaging, desktop hardware, Microsoft Windows profiles;
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10;
  • Experience performing general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments, budgets, and so on, including a moderate understanding of basic accounting;
  • Strong customer service skills; and,
  • Experience supporting the deployment of production workstations.
