Eagle is currently seeking a Programmer/Developer. This is a five (5) month, contract position scheduled to start in November.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Translating technical systems specifications into working, tested applications; and, 
  • Including developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Ten plus (10+) years of demonstrated experience in developing N-tier enterprise applications;
  • Ten plus (10+) years of demonstrated experience of developing using .NET Framework (version 4.6 and above) with C# in Visual Studio (preferably 2017 and above);
  • Demonstrated experience of managing code and following processes in Azure DevOps using Git (working with backlog items, pull requests, branching and merging);
  • Demonstrated experience of developing applications in ASP.NET Standard, using Entity Framework, LINQ and Razor pages;
  • Demonstrated experience of web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
  • Demonstrated experience working with .NET Framework - MVC 5, Web services, Web API;
  • Demonstrated experience in development & troubleshooting experience on Microsoft Azure App services;
  • Demonstrated experience of writing SQL and Stored Procedures, preferably for SQL Azure and utilizing Visual Studio Database projects;
  • Demonstrated user-experience (UX) design to ensure a great user-centered experience, iterate it in accordance with user-testing, including familiarity with accessibility standards;
  • Demonstrated experience of using Agile Methodologies;
  • Experience in programming and analysis at the specified experience level;
  • Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle;
  • Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications;
  • Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications;
  • Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools;
  • Experience in one or more programming languages;
  • Experience in application design, latest design patters, deployment and troubleshooting;
  • Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies;
  • Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages;
  • Experience with one or more communications protocols;
  • Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications;
  • Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to be a team player with a track record for meeting deadlines;
  • Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications (an asset);
  • Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies (an asset);
  • Experience with middleware and gateways (an asset);
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards (an asset); and,
  • Ability to provide user and system documentation as required (an asset).
