Communications Lead

Eagle is currently seeking a Communications Lead for a two (2) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in November.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Defining the client’s stakeholders and the related content they need to consume;
  • Developing an information architecture and illustrate where communication content will be presented to stakeholders;
  • Defining standards, processes, roles, and responsibilities for publishing and updating communication content;
  • Establishing appropriate materials to support the publishing process;
  • Identifying all customer segments of ITS department (including within ITS);
  • Including relevant organizational structures, projects, communities of practice, and committees and the public;
  • Defining or creating reports;
  • Current state understanding – confirmation that the current IA and its status from the consumers is understood (with problems and recommendations);
  • Identifying appropriate usage of M365 applications (SharePoint, Teams) at multiple levels (project sites, team sites, ITS Hub, Technology Hub, Insider, Outsider);
  • Aligning with existing Information Architecture for the organization (i.e. sources of content may be external data vs. Content);
  • Information Architecture for content outside of ITS domain;
  • Email and file transfers;
  • Defining standards, processes, roles, and responsibilities for publishing and updating content;
  • Establishing processes and procedures for content deliverables and communication tools (pages, sites, news, bots, posts, lists, files, etc.);
  • Tracking mechanism to monitor actual content migration used within process of monitoring and supporting alignment to direction (metadata, views, content accuracy);
  • Establishing appropriate materials to support the publishing process with creation of templates (pages/news/sites);
  • Creation of learning material (guidebook, instructions, support site);
  • Creating a communications governance framework;
  • Recommending an IT communication governance framework (permissions, authorities, approvals, etc.);
  • Recommendations for monitoring, measuring and controlling;
  • Drafting communication content;
  • Developing draft content as required to demonstrate intent or as requested by sponsor; and,
  • Development of integrations or migration of content.
