Eagle is currently seeking an Automation Developer. This is six (6) month, contract position scheduled to start in October.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Design, develop and support technical solutions that automate key processes and tasks;
  • Implement, maintain and use automated DevOps (Ansible CDD) pipelines to deploy applications;
  • Help implement services to handle automated recovery from incidents and disasters;
  • Provide input to automation policy, standards, and processes;
  • Determine the right tool(s) for the job and use them to optimize team performance;
  • Assess new tools and provide direction on automation technology, patterns, and practices;
  • Promote re-use and adoption of solutions across teams through demo’s and coaching of other developers;
  • Ensure all automation are compliant with the company security directives and policies;
  • Provide expert level input to estimates for business cases;
  • Create automation playbooks and companion documentation as references, to help development and operations understand the logic and contents of the automated tasks;
  • Identify opportunities for automation and guide on effective ways to implement, and;
  • Educate others on the use of automation tools and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline;
  • 3-5 years hands-on coding experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Webservices, C#, .Net, and API’s;
  • 3-5 years experience in automation development;
  • Passion and thought leadership for innovation and automation;
  • Hands-on experience using automation tools such as RPA (Blue Prism), UIPath, Pega, Ansible, scripting, Python, test automation tools, and DevOps tools;
  • 2-3 years experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging technologies;
  • 2-3 years experience using DevOps tools including Ansible CDD, BitBucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes;
  • Exposure to MongoDB database, Universal Message, and AWS Cloud;
  • Understanding of enterprise methodologies, such as ITIL, CMMI, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
  • Solid understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution;
  • Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration and development of automated solutions;
  • Understanding of enterprise methodologies, such as ITIL, CMMI, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
  • Solid business and technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to become comfortable with unfamiliar businesses areas or technologies;
  • Strong relationship management and consulting skills, and;
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
