Business Process Consultant

Eagle is currently seeking a Business Process Consultant. This is a eight (8) month, contract position scheduled to start in September.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Use systematic, disciplined, and data-based methods to determine the root causes of any process issues;
  • Conduct risk assessment and validation of new processes and process improvements;
  • Manage and resolve issues with appropriate analysis and well-thought-out alternatives;
  • Represent the Investments team on workstreams within enterprise programs, be accountable for delivery of workstreams, project collateral, prepare and present status updates on projects/initiatives, escalate issues and risks;
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain project issue logs, action item trackers etc., as required;
  • Create end to end test plans and execute them as part of the project assigned;
  • Provide and/or coordinate the creation of training material to ensure the impacted employees understand and absorb the changes;
  • Manage feedback and escalations, including Production support. Coordinate regular touchpoints between stakeholders, including with Technology;
  • Leverage data analytics to identify process baseline, identify trends, generate ideas, build business case and make recommendations for process improvement opportunities that will obtain maximum value to the enterprise;
  • Work effectively with other business groups on enterprise programs for multiple engagements;
  • Lead problem resolution through analytics by articulating relevant aspects of the issue, draw logical conclusions from data, situations or events;
  • Provide feedback and guidance on prioritizing process tasks for technology projects;
  • Facilitate buy-in and support from senior management for business cases, key project plans, commitments, and project changes relating to process improvements;
  • Participate in engagements, as a team lead/member and a business lead;
  • Actively engage with and influence senior stakeholders, lead change activities, diagnose barriers to project success, and facilitate resolution;
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate with project stakeholders on scope and deliverables;
  • Role model values to promote positive high-performance culture during a time of rapid change within the Bank;
  • Build relationships with other areas of the Bank such as Product groups, operations support teams, Finance, IT, Legal, etc, and;
  • Create and deliver presentations to business partners, executives, and senior management.
 

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Possesses a university degree in Engineering, Business or any related field;
  • 7-10 years of similar experience working on large transformational projects;
  • Strong experience documenting policies and procedures, user manuals, developing test plans;
  • Strong experience in User Acceptance Testing (writing and executing test cases);
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Exemplary track record of delivering process design and improvement;
  • Experience in managing multiple activities and stakeholder interactions, with varying complexity within tight time frames;
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders;
  •  Experience delivering medium to large transformational projects;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Well-organized & detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Comfortable dealing with rapid change and ambiguous situations;
  •  Aptitude for technology, with a strong quantitative skillset;
  • Training in or exposure to Lean fundamentals and process mapping tools (as an asset);
  • Bilingual considered (as an asset);
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and process mapping fundamentals (as an asset), and;
  • Exposure to the consulting environment (as an asset).
