Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner

Eagle is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a permanent job opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Delivering in collaboration with the project teams various process and technology initiatives and assuming a prime role in administering a key development stream responsible for digital platforms and Marketing initiatives as a Product Owner;
  • Collaborating with team to evaluate potential software solutions (internal and off-the-shelf) to ensure business requirements are addressed effectively;
  • Serving as the Chat/Bot/AI Business Process Analyst and subject matter expert for workflows and technical integrations, analyzing and approving content for chat/bot/AI deployed technologies;
  • Defining and documenting business problems and/or opportunities for proposed initiatives, identifying and validating the key business requirements and stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with the Software Development and IT Infrastructure teams towards the successful testing and implementation of projects;
  • Employing the Agile framework in gathering user requirements, developing plans, making business cases, and prioritizing product development in conjunction with Product Owner/BA team members;
  • Actively participating in the definition and prioritization of product roadmap features;
  • Coordinating and leading meetings with Agile team members, ensuring the business perspective is represented and potential risks are addressed;
  • Hands-on leader for multiple projects;
  • Triaging emergency / urgent requests in daily scrum meetings;
  • Analyzing existing reports and data structures and identify new reporting requirements;
  • Managing changes, decisions, risks, and issues so you can provide timely updates to stakeholders;
  • Proficiently communicating business requirements through compelling use cases and user stories;
  • Researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes as well as enhancing them;
  • Participating in driving projects to successful completion, by supporting development teams and end-users in achieving their goals. Collaborating with the QA team to test new features from an end-users perspective;
  • Assisting in establishing and implementing necessary training materials across product streams; and,
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting user behaviour using marketing and other business data sets to gain quantitative insights that will enhance decision making.
Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:
  • A Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Business Analysis, or Project Management;
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant experience;
  • CBAP certification is an asset;
  • Proficiency in understanding Custom Application Development, IT infrastructure, data reporting and analytics, software integration, and third party software evaluations;
  • Business Process documentation and modelling experience;
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with AI Chatbots and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools;
  • Workflow design experience with MS Flow/Power Automate;
  • Experience working with customer facing public websites working within Content Management Systems;
  • A solid grasp of Search Engine Optimization strategies and Google Analytics knowledge;
  • Experience in implementing digital marketing tags, working with tools such as Google Tag Manager, and pixel tracking with other third-party digital marketing platforms;
  • Two plus (2+) years’ experience in Agile methodologies;
  • At least one (1) year working experience with SQL Server, or other structured relational database platforms; and intermediate level of SQL skills;
  • Proficiency in tools such as Team Foundation Server, SharePoint Online, TEAMS;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, flowcharting software, and project management software (i.e. MS Visio, MS Project);
  • The ability to be a self-driven and highly motivated individual that's able to work in a fast-paced environment, performing multiple tasks and projects with defined deadlines;
  • Strong writing and communication skills, including technical writing skills;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset;
  • Above-average business process mapping skills;
  • Business case development skills; and,
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
