QA Analyst

Eagle is currently seeking a QA Analyst for a one (1) year contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in September.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Planning and coordinating the activities of the Technical Test Team involved in testing in multiple environments (simultaneously) and re-creating issues found in Production;
  • Coordinating test activities with the User Acceptance Testing team;
  • Creating test plans and designing test scenarios and test cases;
  • Creating test schedules;
  • Analyzing test data requirements;
  • Communicating with project team and client on defects, issues, and build quality;
  • Establishing and operating "interoperability" testing procedures to ensure that the interaction and co-existence of various software elements, which are proposed to be distributed on the common infrastructure, conform to appropriate departmental standards (i.e. for performance, compatibility, etc.) and have no unforeseen detrimental effects on the shared infrastructure;
  • Creating test reports;
  • Providing mentoring and knowledge transfer to other resources or staff;
  • Reporting on work progress (on a regular basis);
  • Researching, recommending, and assisting the QA Manager in implementing quality management policies, process, procedures;
  • Researching, planning, and coordinating in quality assurance standards, guidelines, and best practices creation and management;
  • Recommending and implementing QA and QC methodologies;
  • Evaluating and recommending software testing tools;
  • Researching, recommending, and supporting test environments and test data planning and management;
  • Supporting and assisting in test resource recruitment, training, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations;
  • Assisting in quality planning for new projects;
  • Developing test strategy and management plan on organization wide integration testing;
  • Planning and coordinating quality audits and reviews;
  • Planning and managing cross team knowledge transfer and training;
  • Weekly status reports of the work scheduled for completion during the reporting period;
  • Weekly detail reporting of problems encountered, proposed solutions, and changes to the work plan; and,
  • Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents, including, but not limited to: Business Use cases, External interface requirements, Data structures /elements, Data flow diagrams, Functional requirements, Non-functional requirements, Design constraints, Process flow diagrams – as required, User Interface (UI) designs – as required, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations (slide decks) – as required, Spreadsheets and Visio diagrams – as required, Assessment reports.
