Eagle is currently seeking a Time & Labour / Absence Module. This is a six (6) month, contract position scheduled to start in July.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing consulting services by acting as a subject matter expert through the entire cloud application service implementation lifecycle for Oracle HCM cloud projects;
  • Identifying functionality gaps in the implemented solution, proposing recommendations and leading the implementation of corrective/ preventive actions;
  • Providing best practices on options, risks, and any impacts on other processes and or systems;
  • Continuous Service Improvements – support to the client’s satisfaction the system enhancements, including configuration, testing (unit/system integration/regression), defect resolution;
  • Knowledge transfer to company counterparts;
  • Identifying and understanding the complex business requirements, mapping them to Oracle HCM cloud and / or Taleo functionality and leading the implementation;
  • Analyzing and recommending solutions in relation to collective agreement and bargaining unit constructs;
  • System enhancements - supporting system enhancements, including configurations and testing, developing PoC, writing decisions notes, testing in multiple non-prod system environment;
  • Providing technical expertise in the scoping, prioritization, development and deployment of new enhancements;
  • Translating complex business needs into requirements and implement including, conducting needs assessment with stakeholders, build policy, developing functional specifications and PoC, test, implement and support through training and communications;
  • Working with stakeholders in the delivery of new enhancements;
  • Analyzing and identifying gaps in current business process, identifying process enhancements and tools, recommending system enhancements to address gaps;
  • Analyzing and recommending solutions in relation to collective agreement and bargaining unit constructs, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are addressed;
  • Evaluating the impact of new system enhancements and assessing impact on existing business process and redesign where existing process need to align with the new enhancement;
  • Tracking, promoting and recommending prioritization of enhancement requests;
  • Providing technical expertise in the development, scoping of roadmap, annual plans and annual list of system improvements/functionality;
  • Liaising with ITS, HR Ops and other stakeholders to form working team for all systems development, roll out of new functionality;
  • Release Management;
  • Assessing future state functionality enhancement against current state to determine prioritization of new enhancements;
  • Reviewing all relevant release notes as part of planning for the upgrade;
  • Identifying big changes impacting people, process or technology;
  • Completing regression testing;
  • Providing input into stakeholders notifications, supporting content development for training;
  • Incident Management;
  • Resolving tier 4 issues and actively work with vendors to resolve tier 5;
  • Managing issue management processes and activities;
  • Managing Service Request (SR) management processes and activities;
  • Managing and resolving defect management processes and activities as assigned;
  • Logging HRMS issues/requests;
  • Completing trend analysis on issues;
  • Supporting content development for training and communications;
  • Partnering with and collaborate with subject matter experts in HR operations to support assigned modules or functional aspects;
  • Maintaining on-going touchpoint with HR end users and process owners to support, clarify issues, coach and understand needs; and,
  • Emerging IT trends, technologies and thorough knowledge of maintaining Human Resources Information Systems.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience;
  • Minimum seven (7) years in implementing and supporting Tier 1 Human Capital Management in a SaaS environment;
  • Three plus (3+) years of progressively responsible experience in HR systems, Help Desk or Business Analyst role;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during system upgrades and during any emergency system issues that require immediate and urgent attention;
  • Deep knowledge of Human Resources Management Information Systems or Payroll/HR;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and will lead workshops with client teams;
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders;
  • Ability to articulate complex technical and business solutions;
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud/Fusion HCM including detailed technical experience in at least one of the HCM modules including: HR core, Benefits, Payroll and compensation;
  • Experience in implementing relevant module of Oracle Fusion HCM, R12 or higher;
  • Understanding of inter-module working functionalities within Fusion HCM and lead migrating to Production;
  • Experience and understanding of the delivered reports and ability to map business needs to delivered functionalities with minimal customizations;
  • Ability to develop low to medium complexity fast formulas;
  • Experience with Oracle cloud upgrades including impact assessment, testing and resolving defects;
  • Experience managing Oracle service requests;
  • Experience in implementing integration between Time & Labour and Absence as well as time & Labour/Absence with Payroll;
  • Experience in developing and implementing solutions of modifications required in delivered functionalities to meet business requirements;
  • Understanding of how other modules impacts Time & Labour and Absence Continuous Service Improvement;
  • Experience with designing and implementing cloud-based architecture solutions (an asset);
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking and Customer Centric Design (an asset); and,
  • Certification in respective module of Oracle Fusion (an asset).
