Eagle is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for a six (6) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading projects or a program with multiple stakeholders and involving cross-functional deliverables;
  • Planning, managing, and reporting on software development being done by various cross-functional development teams;
  • Developing technical understanding of the projects to be able to support the technical leads in the prioritization and grooming of the backlog;
  • Working collaboratively and coordinating with technical leads and other project managers to troubleshoot and resolve schedule or process issues on a regular basis;
  • Delivering all project documentation and deliverables;
  • Reporting on the project dashboard including KPI, status, risks/issues, and scope/schedule changes;
  • Hands-on contribution to risk and issue management;
  • Content Change Management;
  • External dependencies management;
  • Taking the initiative to find and fill gaps in processes;
  • Aligning with internal and external project stakeholders; and,
  • Building relationships with vendors.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • A University Degree in relevant discipline;
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management with three (3) years of experience leading project, program, and/or product management teams that are responsible for cross-functional deliverables;
  • Previous experience in managing SCADA upgrade projects;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation;
  • Working experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies;
  • The ability to use project management software application tools for scheduling, tracking and analyzing project activities and resourcing;
  • Experience preparing project documentation such as Project Plan, Project Scope Document, Quality Plan, Test Plan, Training Plan, etc.;
  • The ability to evaluate various options and make project adjustments as required;
  • The ability to lead through ambiguity;
  • Strong management, communication, influencing and collaboration skills;
  • Outstanding written, oral, and presentation skills;
  • The ability to be extremely well organized;
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision;
  • High comfort level with public speaking and presenting project status and updates to various levels of leadership;
  • Strong understanding of technologies surrounding web-based applications, AWS, Machine Learning and AI (an asset);
  • Experience in digital transformation related projects (an asset); and,
  • General understanding of the mechanical assets such as compressors, flowmeters, pumps and etc. (an asset).
