SAP Project Manager

Eagle is currently seeking an SAP Project Manager for a six (6) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in July.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing and managing integrated Project Management Plan with team support;
  • The overall management of the project throughout its life cycle;
  • Delivering project in accordance with established standards and methodologies;
  • Participating in the project planning activities and managing the execution of projects according to plan;
  • Reviewing and making recommendations on changes within approved scope, timelines, and budget;
  • Recommending changes that fall outside of approved scope, timelines, and budget;
  • Proactively identifying changes in work scope and ensuring appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget, and timeline;
  • Ensuring proper use of project management methodology, standards, tools, processes, and procedures;
  • Coaching to clarify assignments and deliverables for project team;
  • Reviewing quality of work and managing integration of the team’s work;
  • Providing performance input to project team management;
  • Empowering the Business Stream Leads to make a decisions within their area of accountability;
  • Supporting escalation of those requiring leadership decision;
  • Serving as first level of escalation for project issues;
  • Understanding the impact from people, process, business, technology, systems, and schedule perspectives;
  • Determining when to engage the Field First support team;
  • Reviewing and resolving issues;
  • Formulating and escalating to Leadership Team as required;
  • Apprising Leadership Team of Core Team decisions;
  • Reviewing project status on a regular basis;
  • Identifying and making recommendations to the Leadership Team on the integration requirements for the project and other key initiatives;
  • Managing relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues;
  • Managing expectations on project requirements and deliverables;
  • Determining what constitutes successful closure for all parties;
  • Gaining acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained;
  • Advocating and legitimizing the change;
  • Supporting key change management and communication efforts;
  • Removing any barriers that may be encountered; and,
  • Providing early insights into obstacles and supporting the project with risk and issues mitigation.
Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ Project Management experience;
  • SAP experience leading initiatives for Supply Chain and Enterprise Asset Management;
  • Oil and Gas experience;
  • Preference for a PM with S/4 HANA exposure;
  • Preference for PMP Certification;
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, conflict resolution, and relationship building skills; and,
  •  Change Management competencies, such as leading change, leading people, and risk management.
