QA Test Analyst

Eagle is currently seeking a QA Test Analyst for a six (6) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in July.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Providing performance testing task estimates;
  • Gathering performance testing requirements (understand realistic system load, identify bottlenecks, etc.) and benchmarks;
  • Writing and maintaining performance test plans;
  • Creating and maintaining automated test scripts;
  • Designing, creating, and maintaining load generation infrastructure;
  • Identifying test data requirements and create required test data/data creation scripts;
  • Designing, executing, and maintaining performance tests for various performance tests types (baseline/shakeout test, load test, capacity test, endurance test, etc.);
  • Analyzing performance test results and work with development and technical teams to pinpoint problem quiries, functions, etc.;
  • Creating status reports, test run analysis reports and final test phase reports;
  • Resolving or escalating scripting or test execution issues;
  • Communicating and obtaining the approval of test results;
  • Transition relevant test artefacts (documents, test data, test cases, test beds, test environments, test results, ID's and permissions, etc.) to ensure data and environmental cleanup, future use, maintenance or obsolescence;
  • Providing feedback for process improvements;
  • Identifying and supporting test tool updates; and,
  • Documenting performance testing standards, configurations and requirements for each technology tested.
Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:
  • A Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline or an equivalent mix of education and experience;
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the following:
    • Writing performance test plans;
    • Creating and maintaining automated test scripts;
    • Designing, executing and maintaining performance tests for various performance tests types (baseline/shakeout test, load test, capacity test, endurance test, etc.);
    • Gathering performance testing requirements (understand realistic system load, identify bottlenecks, etc.) and benchmarks;
    • Analyzing performance test results and working with development and technical teams to pinpoint problem quires, functions, etc.;
    • Creating status reports, test run analysis reports and final test phase reports; and,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The following certifications are considered assets:
  • Certified Software Test Automation Specialist (CSTAS) based on Software Test Automation Body of Knowledge (STABOK);
  • Certified Software Test Automation Architect (CSTAA) based on Software Test Automation Body of Knowledge (STABOK);
  • Certified at ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level, preferably advanced Level;
  • LoadRunner Accredited Software Professional; and,
  • UFT Accredited Software Professional.
