Eagle is currently seeking an Email Marketing Specialist for a six (6) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The development and tracking of emails and SMS messages that are delivered, opened, and clicked-on, that will ultimately increase our business' digital marketing success;
  • Leveraging disparate customer acquisition and retention channels to build and optimize marketing automation workflows (that include email marketing) based around segmented goals;
  • Connecting multiple touch points including social media, email marketing, eventually SMS marketing, and web content marketing, to ensure the use of real-time marketing data providing relevant, contextual marketing experiences to contacts in the database;
  • Focusing on more than just acquisition and master the art of retention and wallet share growth;
  • Managing marketing automation budget while maintaining responsibility for all invoicing processes and procedures;
  • Forecasting costs for individual projects and managing third party supplier budgets;
  • Integrating marketing channels to deliver a comprehensive, cross-platform user experience;
  • Making sure that every touch point is carefully planned for optimal conversion optimization;
  • Developing metrics against which to track the success of each digital marketing initiative;
  • Growing email list organically, not through bought or rented lists;
  • Establishing email and contact information acquisition campaigns;
  • Managing various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in email sends;
  • Segmenting lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.);
  • Sending targeted email messages based on the interests, behaviors, and current stage of your prospects;
  • Measuring results and optimizing the lead nurturing workflows for these segments to convert leads;
  • Working to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of our email sends;
  • Developing documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests of different variables like email send times, subject headings, and promotions that succeed through email;
  • Leveraging learnings from past campaigns and initiatives in to future projects;
  • Delivering CASL compliant email marketing that is optimized for mobile devices, nail timing and frequency, and organized against our segmentation strategy;
  • Working with Digital to ensure website and landing pages are personalized with smart content and calls-to-action to show the same targeted messaging that prospects see in email campaigns;
  • Working with communications/social media team, to create targeted lists of important prospects to monitor in social media;
  • Participating in metric-setting to identify key elements of successful campaigns and initiatives;
  • Initiating, managing, and coordinating marketing automation/direct email/SMS projects with outside vendor(s);
  • Collaborating with Procurement in the evaluation of the selected vendor(s);
  • Leveraging vendor relationships to grow internal expertise in this area;
  • Staying involved with roadmaps and strategies is a high priority;
  • Conducting, attending, and fully participating in relevant meetings and activities;
  • Helping foster a healthy team environment; and,
  • Sharing digital marketing learnings with entire marketing team so as to drive digital acumen within the department.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Experience with SMS Marketing (social media, web marketing);
  • Experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • Experience conducting email campaigns;
  • A proficiency in email/SMS marketing and marketing automation technology;
  • The ability to be comfortable with email creation and delivery tools such as Inbox Marketer;
  • Marketing / Communications background;
  • A strong understanding of website and SEO architectures, CASL compliant email marketing, SMS marketing, and the digital marketing and marketing automation services industry;
  • Solid analytical, content marketing, communication and relationship skills; and,
  • The ability to multitask.
