Eagle currently has a contract opportunity for an Emergency Preparedness Analyst and we are looking to speak to qualified candidates with the skills and experience outlined below.

This position is an initial 6-month contract located in Kingston, ON to start in November.


  • Lead the work to assess current technical capabilities supporting and integrating Client's Emergency Notification System (ENS) platforms to determine gaps, weaknesses and opportunities for improving the capacity, coverage and timeliness of crisis notification delivery to faculty, staff and students.

  • In accordance with the various Communications protocols in place at Client's, design and implement the technical changes required to attain the level of service defined by Client for the ENS platforms.

  • Work with Client's staff (including technical and communications personnel, as required) to develop test procedures that would allow the updated ENS technologies to be exercised and validated as part of regular business continuity test activities in various test-mode scenarios.

  • Work with the Technical Writer to ensure all supporting documentation for the updated technologies supporting and integrating the ENS platforms is complete and validated, and provided to Queen's in an approved format.

  • Develop and execute a knowledge transfer plan.


  • Assessment of current technical capabilities supporting and integrating ENS platforms.

  • Design for improved capacity, coverage and timeliness of technical capabilities supporting and integrating ENS platforms.

  • Implementation plan for technical improvements supporting and integrating ENS platforms.

  • Operational technologies supporting and integrating ENS platforms to meet Client's requirements.

  • Test procedures to support Client's regular and ongoing ability to exercise the ENS platforms and demonstrate functionality in various test-mode scenarios.

  • Complete and validated documentation for the Use, Operation and Maintenance of the new technical capabilities supporting and integrating the ENS platform.

  • Workshops, training sessions, playbook walk-throughs or similar knowledge transfer activities delivered to Client's designated Services personnel.
