Eagle is currently seeking a Project Manager – Clinical Business Readiness for a seven (7) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in September.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing engagement, analysis, and documentation of business/clinical requirements to facilitate effective planning and implementation of the Project, including engaging/collaborating with team members, interdependent projects and client stakeholders;
  • Chairing project Business/Clinical Working including preparation of agenda, materials, and documentation/follow up of actions;
  • Developing and executing the deployment and change management plans working in collaboration with the Project Manager – Application Readiness, Project Manager – VDI and Citrix and Workspace Technology and Sustainment Lead;
  • Liaising with Communications to develop and execute effective communications and change management plans;
  • Working in collaboration with application readiness team, technical solutioning team and sustainment team to integrate and align planning, solutioning and readiness activities for VDI and Win 10;
  • Providing and implementing recommendations i.e. improvement in the quality and efficiency of existing business/clinical process that align with/and support the business/clinical desired outcomes;
  • Tool standardization as it relates to program pipeline process, and where other opportunities present;
  • Clinical workflow assessment, analysis and translation of business requirements to support technical solutioning;
  • The development of effective and clinically appropriate solutions for issue resolution;
  • Process re-engineering activities; as well as identifying gaps, risks and opportunities;
  • Process development, adherence and associated change control activities; 
  • Validation of requirements, dependencies, and associated issues/risks; escalate as appropriate;
  • Development of training materials (i.e. for business, clinical and technical users) and other documentation (as identified) to support workstation deployments;
  • Developing and/or informing feasibility studies, requirements gathering, business use cases, etc. to support Win 10 and Virtual Desktop implementations;
  • Addressing issues/risks related to project planning/pipeline processes, change management, stakeholder buy-in and user experience;
  • Documenting existing and developing/improving business/clinical procedures and processes;
  • Adherence to PMO and PQTO standards, metrics, processes, procedures and practices;
  • Management of integrated project dependencies including PQTO engagement and alignment / co-planning;
  • Chairing/facilitating business engagement and status meetings (inclusive of agenda, minutes and other meeting materials);
  • Conducting regularly scheduled status reviews, identifies deviations to work plan/schedule and implements corrective action(s);
  • Communicating project status, actions and issues and providing full project reporting through the project governance structure (including contribute work stream specific reporting to standard PQTO status reports and Executive Steering Committee decks);
  • Delegating appropriate tasks and responsibilities to project team resources;
  • Maintaining all project-related documentation, including project plan, status reports, "lessons learned", change control, risk/issue, communications, etc. for the business/clinical readiness work stream;
  • Identifying and tracking metrics as they relate to the project deliverables; describes problems and generates solutions for team problem-solving;
  • Liaising and coordinating with other project streams leads and associated stakeholders to ensure alignment;
  • Drafting reports, briefing notes, and other supportive documentation for higher level management and governance working groups;
  • Contributing subject matter expertise to future iterations of the business case;
  • Maintaining effective and regular communication with all stakeholders on all related matters;
  • Providing support to the Project Director (e.g. strategy, plan, schedule, reporting and risk/issues) to ensure the ability meet required timelines and deliverables, as well as issue escalation and resolution;
  • Working cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes; and,
  • Analysis and solution documentation to support business/clinical readiness for shift to Win 10 and Enterprise VDI.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Project Management principals, methodologies, and change management practices/trends;
  • Business analysis skills and experience in business/clinical processes development;
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project);
  • Organizational and time management skills;
  • Analytical and broad-based technical knowledge/skills; with ability to think through details and tactics without losing sight of overall strategic goals;
  • Exceptional tactical and critical strategic thinking;
  • Prior experience managing IT/infrastructure and/or clinical/healthcare projects;
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to effectively monitor and execute project plans with stringent timelines;
  • Transformational awareness and expertise;
  • The ability to describe business outcome and benefits in layperson terms;
  • The ability to extract information and knowledge from complex sources;
  • The ability to manage multiple clinical and business stakeholders;
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment;
  • The ability to work independently and within a team, while influencing and supporting;
  • Senior-level ability to translate and express clinical, process and technical problems using business terms;
  • Senior-level documentation and presentation skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders, users, etc.;
  • Strong team leadership skills that motivate and encourage collaboration;
  • Understanding of how to interpret customer business and clinical needs;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including business and technical writing skills;
  • Experience working within with BC Health Authorities is nice to have;
  • Successful experience working on a technical implementation project in a clinical engagement role is nice to have;
  • Prior experience with Change Management, Modeling, and Requirements Management techniques and tools is nice to have; and,
  • Business Analysis (e.g. IIBA), Project Management (e.g. PMP, Prince2) or Change Management (PROSCI) certification and education is nice to have.
