Eagle is currently seeking a Manager. This is a six (6) month, contract position scheduled to start in June.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Manage conferences, meetings, special events;
  • Liaising directly with Partners, Clients and staff across the firm;
  • Assisting in strategic planning;
  • Assisting in developing team standards and leading key projects;
  • Coaching and overseeing team specialists with day to day planning best practices; and,
  • Co-ordinate all logistical aspects of meetings such as:
    o       venue selection
    o       review and approval of vendor contracts
    o       cost projection and budget analysis for each event
    o       rooming lists
    o       meeting room set-ups
    o       audio visual requirements
    o       catering arrangements/menu selection
    o       promotional items, gifts
    o       on site registration and co-ordination for larger events
    o       simultaneous interpretation

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Bilingualism in both English and French;
  • Five (5) years' experience in event planning, with particular experience on complex projects;
  • Comfort in a supervisory/leadership role;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work under time pressure and deal effectively under stress;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi task;
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel & Outlook;
  • Flexibility to travel to attend on-site meetings when required; and,
  • CMP preferred
