Eagle is currently seeking an AaaS Administrator. This is a seven (7) month, contract position scheduled to start in June.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing AaaS blueprints and consumption models;
  • Providing guidance on adoption and governance of AaaS;
  • Assisting with the development of the AaaS infrastructure within a cloud
  • Providing deep technical expertise and supporting in the infrastructure-
    related workloads and automation;
  • Providing leadership and direction regarding application design,
    architecture, and integration;
  • Coaching other ITS staff to become fluent in AaaS workloads, development
    and implementations;
  • Executing and automating operational processes fast, accurately and
  • Analyzing business and system requirements to determine best use of
    Automation technologies in the client’s environment;
  • Creating and implementing innovative, high-quality automation solutions;
  • Documenting current and target architecture states in enough detail to develop;
    a gap analysis and transformation work plan and associated activities;
  • Participating and guide the development of the enterprise architecture future
    state roadmap;
  • Providing direction around the adoption of a future state around automation,
    integration, patterns, blueprints, and reference architectures;
  • Developing tools and processes required to implement the future state AaaS;
  • Creating and implementing innovative, high-quality automation solutions;
  • Initiating and participating in development projects, either migrating existing
    applications towards the cloud or creating new application from the ground up
    with the cloud in mind, utilizing AaaS;
  • Guiding the developers on technical issues especially those that impact
    releases, deployment and delivery;
  • Partnering with development teams by providing automation assistance and
  • Finding the proper tools and implementing the processes that
    can automate any manual tasks;
  • Designing and implementing solutions to provide continuous integration, automated
    deployment, and configuration management of internally or externally
    developed applications; and
  • Analyzing existing people, process, technologies, for performance and efficiency improvements, both as part of a structured release process, and as
    an ongoing process.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Three (3) year Information Technology degree;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in RPA;
  • Five (5) years expertise in programming and scripting within .Net C# and Powershell preferred, Python & Additional languages;
  • Experience providing leadership and direction regarding application design, architecture, and integration;
  • Expertise in designing and implementing infrastructure as code;
  • Expertise in deploying infrastructure as code preferably Terraform;
  • Experience in virtualization platforms such as VMWare and Hyper-V – vCenter and SCVMM;
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, SCOM and SCCM;
  • Experience with Azure Automation;
  • Experience in configuration management tooling, preferably Ansible;
  • Experience in Git and integrations with CI/CD pipelines such as Gitlab and Gitlab CI Runner mandatory;
  • Experience identifying, removing and simplifying workflows through automation;
  • Experience working with Dev and QA teams;
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Puppet and Ansible;
  • Experience in developing Service Catalogues;
  • Experience operating in an Agile and SCRUM environment;
  • Experience developing Automation Reference Architectures;
  • Experience building solution offerings to internal and external consumption;
  • Experience developing governance and adoption models; and,
  • Experience implementing an AaaS solution with municipal, provincial or federal government agencies.
