Eagle currently has a career opportunity for a Security Governance Specialist and we are looking to speak to qualified candidates with the skills and experience outlined below.

This position is a 6-month contract located in North York, ON to start immediately.

As the Security Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Primarily accountable for the Client request program. This includes the end-to-end process involving Information/Technology Security client, business, partner and regulatory request which involves, but not limited to the following activities;

  • Acting as the lead focal point for Information/Technology Security request;
  • Intake, document, tracking, management, and closure of the request;
  • Responding to general questions, concerns or inquiries as they come into the mailbox;
  • Accountable for completing current or prospective client questionnaires, attestations or assertions specific to Information/Technology Security in a defined and sometimes expedited timeline. This will/could include direct discussions with the client on the responses provided;
  • Experience with using, and responding to SIG’s (Standard Information Gathering);
  • Keeping up to date the current response databases, client-friendly artifacts (i.e. evidence, attestations, assertions, assessments, reports, documentation) and reference points with accurate and up to date information;
  • Accountable for and on behalf of the CISO and the organization, the contractual wording between Sun Life and the client in relation to Information/Technology Security. This includes the review, commentary, changes, negotiations, and approval of the contractual wording and agreement;
  • Act as an SME and lead focal point for Information/Technology Security related client audits. This will include full accountability for how the audit request is responded to and actioned from start to finish including responding to, if present, audit findings; and,
  • Completing ad-hoc request, reporting or on the program to the CISO on a frequent basis.

What we’re looking for:

  • University or College degree with six (6) to eight (8) years experience in a similar role;
  • CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM. CIA (ideal to have at least 1 of these);
  • Experience with using, and responding to SIG’s (Standard Information Gathering);
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written;
  • Strong attention to details;
  • Ability to manage one's time effectively and set priorities and meet deadlines; and,
  • Up to date knowledge and previous experience with  Information/Technology Security related client audits.
