Enterprise Architect 

Eagle currently has a career opportunity for an Enterprise Architect and we are looking to speak to qualified candidates with the skills and experience outlined below.

This position is a 12-month contract located in St John's, NFLD to start in April.

Summary:

This assignment while maintaining the traditional enterprise architecture role will be required to move the organization forward in its adoption of cloud services. This resource will work closely with the Director of PMO & Enterprise Architecture to develop a “Cloud Adoption Strategy” for the Customer as well as developing cloud standards & best practices.

As the Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide architectural expertise to the enterprise across business and technology domains
  • Determine the strategic vision for the enterprise using the cloud, managed solutions, and traditional capabilities;
  • Analyze agreement of architectural strategy against desired outcomes and value while identifying opportunities for enhancement and reuse;
  • Work collaboratively on architectural efforts of the highest significance that involve technical, business, and organizational complexity;
  • Create, support, and influence pragmatic architectural oversight, using principles, policies, and guardrails;
  • Provide guidance and coaching throughout the enterprise;
  • Exhibit the judgment to assess our strategic needs and identify and propose appropriate options;
  • Document existing and new cloud architectures;
  • Design and optimize cloud strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable
  • Design and optimize cloud strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable and reliable systems up to 99.999% uptime SLA;
  • Develop cloud standards & best practices; and
  • Develop a Cloud Adoption Strategy.

What we’re looking for:

  • University or College degree;
  • Have at least 7+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience;
  • Developed a Cloud Adoption Strategy;
  • Documented existing and new cloud architectures;
  • Exhibited the judgment to assess strategic needs and identify and propose appropriate options;
  • Worked collaboratively on architectural efforts of the highest significance that involve technical, business, and organizational complexity;
  • Determined the strategic vision for the enterprise using the cloud, managed solutions, and traditional capabilities;
  • Created, supported, and influenced pragmatic architectural oversight, using principles, policies, and guardrails;
  • Analyzed agreements of architectural strategy against desired outcomes and value while identifying opportunities for enhancement and reuse; and,
  • provided architectural expertise to the enterprise across business and technology domains.
