Eagle is currently seeking a Project Manager for a  six (6) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing key priority project in a growing organization;
  • Directing and managing projects from initiation to close;
  • Defining project scope and objectives, deliverables, and success factors required to support business goals;
  • Collaborating with executive, senior management and stakeholders with the ability to coach them on their roles in governance committee;
  • Developing full-scale project plans interactively with team members and ensure on-time delivery;
  • Utilizing the client’s Project Delivery Methodology to mitigate risk;
  • Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and track resource requirements and effort throughout the project;
  • Determining and assessing need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments with IT mgmt. if necessary;
  • Performing cost estimations, budget control, resource planning and critical path scheduling;
  • Eliciting and managing business and technical requirements and parameters;
  • Facilitating design and implementation reviews;
  • Facilitating technical analysis, architecture and testing as required and in alignment with direction from the enterprise architect and director, infrastructure operations;
  • Proactive managing and communicating changes in project scope or budget, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans;
  • Negotiating with other department managers for the acquisition of required SMEs from within the company;
  • Setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders;
  • Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team;
  • Coordinating and collaborating with the projects in the Portfolio to sieve out key risks and develop mitigation plans accordingly;
  • Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve Portfolio goals and track resource requirements and effort throughout the Portfolio;
  • Determining and assessing need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments with IT management if necessary;
  • Performing cost estimations, budget control, resource planning and critical path scheduling;
  • Facilitating technical analysis, architecture and testing as required and in alignment with direction from the enterprise architect and director, infrastructure operations;
  • Proactively managing and communicating changes in Portfolio scope or budget, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans;
  • Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the Portfolio and project teams as needed;
  • Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path;
  • Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations;
  • Coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supervising team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work;
  • Conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities; and,
  • Contributing to best practice for project execution and management.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be responsible for:

  • A University Degree or College Diploma;
  • Fifteen plus (15+) years of experience managing projects in Financial Planning and delivering technology solutions;
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential;
  • The ability to handle a number of simultaneous priorities while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive an overall significant and mission-critical Program to completion;
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team;
  • The ability to write clearly and succinctly in technical and non-technical formats;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exposure to large-scale systems;
  • The ability to apply logic and reason to solve complex problems;
  • The ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments;
  • Customer service skills an asset;
  • Background in Financial Planning processes;
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering projects where technology solutions are implemented to address the financial planning requirements;
  • Experience in stakeholder management;
  • Vendor selection process; and,
  • Experience in delivering projects with a delivery framework.
