Eagle is currently seeking a Systems Analyst Level 3. This is a two (2) month, contract position scheduled to start in February.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing impact analysis to portfolio initiatives, change requests and functional requirements as well as identify potential solutions; 
  • Performing analysis of business requirements to identify procedures, decision flows, and describe requirements in terms of analysis and design models;
  • Designing and documenting system components, interfaces and operational environment;
  • Translating business requirements into sound system requirements;
  • Assessing impacts and performing analysis on new system requirements;
  • Writing screen design and flow charts supporting the system requirements;
  • Converting business system requirements into documented details system specifications;
  • Providing guidance to the business owner to ensure the requirements are in scope with the expected deliverables;
  • Presenting and obtaining specification sign-off from the business owner for system specification defining the system implementation;
  • Writing and reviewing acceptance criteria and test cases according to business requirements;
  • Supporting the system migration initiatives in user acceptance and production environments;
  • Conducting complex problem resolution and debugging activities;
  • Analyzing and understanding system bugs in order to support the development team in applying appropriate and timely resolution;
  • Conducting system test of new and existing functionality ensuring it addresses the system requirements;
  • Assisting in preparing documentation for reporting on various activities such as analysis, development and testing metrics;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and facilitate lessons learned activities;
  • Working with business analyst and product owner to understand, identify, gather and clarify business requirements;
  • Converting business system requirements into documented user stories;
  • Providing guidance to the product owner to ensure the business requirements are in scope with the minimal viable product definition;
  • Presenting and obtaining approval from the product owner for system documentation defining the system implementation;
  • Working with the IT team, the business analyst and the product owner in creating and prioritizing a user stories backlog;
  • Providing coaching for other members of the team;
  • Ensuring that knowledge transfer occurs on an on-going basis throughout the project;
  • Promoting best practices;
  • Reviewing documentation for transfer of knowledge and updating documentation;
  • Providing status reports and attending regular meeting;
  • Documenting impact, screen designs, flowcharts, design models and acceptance criteria; and,
  • Documenting storyboard, test cases, user story backlogs status reports and lessons learned.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Five (5) years’ experience in the last seven (7) years of conducting analysis, design, implementation, and recommendation in object-oriented solutions project;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the last seven (7) years of gathering and documenting IT business processes, procedures and guidelines and proposing IT solutions;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the last seven (7) years in the creation of all necessary deliverables through all phases of the life cycle;
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the last seven (7) years in facilitation of meetings;
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the last 7 years in writing technical reports and status documents;
  • Experience in Java;
  • Experience researching and providing technical solutions;
  • Experience analyzing, documenting and providing requirements;
  • Knowledge and experience working in an agile scrum team;
  • Experience with project management software, including MS Project;
  • Knowledge and experience with IT project reporting;
  • Knowledge and experience IT life cycle;
  • Experience with tight timelines; and,  
  • Experience with requirement gathering.
