Eagle is currently seeking a Senior Program Manager. This is an eleven (11) month, contract position scheduled to start in February.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing overall program leadership, guidance, and managing all aspects and phases of a given program; 
  • Defining measurable program goals; 
  • High-quality program execution and delivery; 
  • Ensuring alignment between business and technology; 
  • Understanding Technology and System Architecture; 
  • Monitoring and ensuring the business values within the program align with business priorities; 
  • Coordinating the work across agile and non- agile projects and across interrelated collections of projects and scrum teams to ensure delivery of business outcomes; 
  • Managing activities and communications across all project teams; 
  • Promoting collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders and maintaining excellent relationships with all levels of the organization; 
  • Proactively setting performance expectations and helping project managers and subordinates to manage expectations of delivery, yielding consistent results; 
  • Supporting and coaching project managers within the program; 
  • Managing program-level issues, risks and interdependencies; 
  • Providing program reporting and status to senior management; 
  • Ensuring compliance with processes, tools and methodology; 
  • Developing resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects; 
  • Acting as prime liaison between company and third-party organizations on program related issues or inquiries; 
  • Leading or playing a key role in Scrum or program meetings to drive coordination; 
  • Facilitating and encourage collaboration and working as one team; and,  
  • Encouraging agile approaches and ability to iterate to create innovation. 

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • University degree or higher in engineering, technology, or related field;
  • Ten (10) plus years’ experience of contributing to the success of a range of large-to-very large initiatives with above average levels of complexity and business criticality; 
  • Previous experience managing two or more end to end, high complexity programs with a budget over $50M with multiple vendors, stakeholders and technology;
  • Experience managing programs using Agile methodology with three or more scrum teams;
  • Experience in managing very large programs; 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project/program management methodologies and tools; 
  • Knowledge and experience in agile such as Scrum, Kanban and iterative development;
  • Exceptional relationship skills and ability to collaborate across lines of business; 
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external customers; 
  • Strong issue resolution skills; 
  • Strong understanding of key concepts of financial processes such as budgeting, financial modeling and ROI development;
  • Solid experience of end to end optimization processes; 
  • Ability to navigate through uncertainty and lead change within the organization; 
  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) (an asset); and,
  • Certification as PMP, ITIL foundations, or Agile (an asset).
