Eagle is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for a permanent job opportunity, scheduled to begin in February.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading test planning, preparation, and execution activities;
  • Leading documentation creation, review, sign-off (i.e. test strategies, plans, schedule, test cases, dashboards, defect logs, test phase closure reports, entry/exit criteria);
  • Coaching colleagues and acting as a reference for the requirements management life cycle;
  • Coaching colleagues on various testing techniques and implementation;
  • Writing and executing test cases, track defects, fixes, and retesting;
  • Performing various (Functional, Integration, System, End to End, Sanity, Smoke, Interface, Regression, Acceptance, etc.) testing;
  • Analyzing, developing, debugging, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases;
  • All project and release testing (i.e. integration, business acceptance, performance, operability, deployment verification);
  • Applying risk analysis methodologies, tools that align with a project's development approach;
  • Prioritizing testing tasks, ensure milestones, activities, tasks are completed as scheduled;
  • Ensuring testing does not impact the production environment (i.e. file transmission scheduling), meets information security/privacy policies/guidelines;
  • Reporting on test planning, execution, defects to project team using standard test quality metrics;
  • Building, maintaining test environments;
  • Monitoring, trouble shooting, triaging, and resolving issues;
  • Coordinating code deployments, maintenance upgrades and project testing across numerous environments on various technology platforms;
  • Following established testing processes, in doing so, identify, assess, address, resolve and/or escalate, develop contingency plans as needed;
  • Participating in audit reviews of test artifacts, ensure they meet standards and audit requirements, and are stored in the project site;
  • Participating in business requirements reviews;
  • Communicating, addressing scope changes that may impact testing (timeline, costs, risks);
  • Identifying, tracking resources needed to cover projects; and,
  • Acting as an advocate for quality in all aspects of design and development.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • A Post-Secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
  • Seven plus (7+) years relevant experience;
  • Experience with Microsoft Tools (TFS, Visual Studio, Test Manager, SQL Server);
  • Experience with Automation Tools/Frameworks (Microsoft, Selinium, Blazemeter, JMeter etc.);
  • Experience with RESTful API, Web (cross-browser), smart phone device, Windows Forms testing;
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies;
  • Experience in a lead role;
  • Expert professional knowledge of testing methodology, best practices and processes (including but not limited to automation, performance, and data management methodologies);
  • Proficiency in developing test plans and strategies and can lead test execution activities for projects of moderate to high complexity;
  • Talent in testing risks within projects and recommending ways to mitigate them;
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills;
  • The ability to work across teams and be proactive;
  • The ability to work independently and within a team environment;
  • A quick learner and capable of adapting to constantly changing project landscapes; and,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
