Eagle is currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect. This is a six (6) month, contract position scheduled to start in January.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing the CMDB asset management processes;
  • Defining and implementing the CMDB configuration management processes;
  • Integrating CMDB with the required data sources;
  • Implementing Governance of the CMDB framework, with the training and transition to the configuration management team;
  • Extracting detailed customer requirements and implementing those requirements within the existing ServiceNow instance;
  • Lending technical assistance during the analysis, design, and implementation phase;
  • Ensuring technical solution and using the discovery application or other tools to create and maintain the accuracy of the Configuration Item (CI) specific information within the CMDB;
  • Working as part of a team on customer engagements with some direct supervision;
  • Administering, managing, and carrying out all aspects of the configuration management processes to ensure the accuracy of the CMDB;
  • Designing, supporting and managing interfaces to data fed tools, defining and coordinating CI relationships, monitoring data integrity and ensuring alignment with integrated ITSM processes;
  • Deploying core functionality as they relate to the CMDB;
  • Installing the system on multiple server platforms and databases as required;
  • Performing an analysis of client processes that will impact the CMDB initiative;
  • Documenting and developing workflows for system functionality and customization;
  • Configuring the ServiceNow system, including creating workflows;
  • Building service requests from customer requirements including requests, request items and tasks using workflows to manage data flows from the customer to the support teams providing the service;
  • Using scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to create scripts to automate tasks being done in ServiceNow;
  • Performing integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration;
  • Loading, manipulating and maintaining data between ServiceNow and other systems;
  • Customizing ServiceNow configurations, including custom scripts;
  • Utilizing available programming methodologies and languages and adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation;
  • Supporting data migration as needed;
  • Performing system and integration testing with sample and live data;
  • Configuring emails and events to trigger notifications as required, report creation for generating reports and visualizing it on Dashboards;
  • Adhering to information security coding standards to achieve optimized performance; and,
  • Maintaining working relationship with all staff, I and IT Operations, IT Infrastructure and IT Operations, external vendors and IT partners.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, technology training or equivalent experience;
  • Five (5) years of ServiceNow architecture, design and development experience;
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in IT asset management;
  • ServiceNow Administrator Certification;
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification;
  • ServiceNow Developer Certification;
  • ITIL V3 Certification;
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset hardware lifecycle management;
  • Solid working knowledge of software licensing agreements;
  • Experience developing ServiceNow solutions and technical design documents from business requirements;
  • Enterprise/large service management implementation experience;
  • Hands on experience beyond ITSM into ITOM;
  • Functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow;
  • Experience in SaaS software configuration and development;
  • Functional knowledge and implementation experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and demonstrated project management skills and experience working directly with customers and clients;
  • Experience building and coding Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) in ServiceNow;
  • Advanced knowledge of LDAP, AD, SSO, SOA, Email Infrastructure and Web Services;
  • Advanced knowledge of systems and network performance and availability monitoring and analysis as well as configuration management;
  • Understanding of IT help desk and service management along with good understanding of the ITIL framework including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Service Request Management;
  • Experience in the IT Operations Management (ITOM) space including Event Management, Release Management, Discovery +CMDB, Service Mapping  web integration and Orchestration;
  • Proficiency in developing workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, and notifications;
  • Experience managing users, groups, and roles;
  • Experience upgrading patches and cloning over lower environments;
  • Experience providing advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes, and root cause analysis;
  • Experience with the HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PowerShell, Perl and Python;
  • Experience integrating third-party software and APIs with ServiceNow; and,
  • Hands-on experience in integration work using LDAP, SSO/Okta and Mid Servers.
