Intermediate GIS Systems Analyst

Eagle is currently seeking an Intermediate GIS Systems Analyst. This is a ten (10) month, contract position scheduled to start in October.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the review of documented business and functional requirements, and
    use cases as they relate to the design and development of solution;
  • Assisting with the design and development of solution, including as applicable, Web
    Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 specifications;
  • Assisting with completing the setup of development approaches, to support ArcPro
    development going forward using the ArcPro SDK (.NET);
  • Assisting with required data modeling and data loading methodologies and processes
    specifically in the domain of road names, municipal addressing and related
    property information including point locations for addresses, and relating road
    names to road segments and addresses;
  • Assisting in coordinating use cases, tasks, issues and bug resolution identified as
    part of the development cycles;
  • Performing Source Control of code with the company’s repository (Microsoft Team
    Foundation Server);
  • Assisting in programming road name add-in functionality, including interactions with
    workflow manager;
  • Assisting in programming municipal address add-in functionality, including
    interactions with workflow manager;
  • Refining solutions based on unit and user testing;
  • Assisting with programming of solution deployment;
  • Performing knowledge transfer to staff on technologies used within the solutions, and
    programming created to produce the solution;
  • Delivering one or more new functional enhancement every development cycle to
    support development of the road name and addressing ArcPro add-ins;
  • Delivering questions or feedback on any requirements, use cases or bug fixes selected
    to be worked on during the development cycle;
  • Delivering reports on items that resolve tasks, issues and bug fixes related to the ArcPro
    add-in development and deployment as tracked in the work coordination tool (Jira)
    each development cycle;
  • Delivering knowledge transfer to staff on development completed during each
    development cycle;
  • Delivering the source control and versioning of code, as well as any applicable
    documentation related to the solutions developed during each development
    cycle; and,
  • Delivering documentation required to support the deployment of the solutions to the
    client, and ongoing maintenance by ITS staff.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Strong English oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong technical writing skills; and,
  • Ability to work independently, and within a project development team.
