Business Analyst, Maximo Asset Management Implementation

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to develop, complete, and document work processes, data standards, templates, system configurations, training and other items required to meet successful project outcomes
  • Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to draw out business and technical requirements
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements such as, but not limited to, system configuration requirements
  • Conduct work process reviews with data validation
  • Create and complete test cases with appropriate stakeholders
  • Produce templates and standards for Locations, Assets, Job Plans, Inventory
  • Map out data conversions from legacy systems to current systems

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to efficiently draw business and technical requirements from many sources such as requests, incidents, reports, conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and meet deadlines with high quality results
  • Ability to develop sound use cases and test cases
  • Excels in written and oral communication
  • Excels in creating clear and concise documentation
  • Can test from end-user perspective and hand off to operations
  • Excellent team player

Required Knowledge, Experience, and Education

  • Ten years or more of business analysis work such as work process development, analysis, and documentation
  • Technical experience, such as configurations or use of, the IBM Maximo asset management systems product
  • Business analysis training
  • Experience in and exposure to Operations in the energy sector, such as systems related to oil and gas, pipelines, power generation, and utilities
