Eagle is currently seeking a Project Control Officer. This is a six (6) month, contract position scheduled to start in September.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting project delivery;
  • Providing specialized reporting and analysis; 
  • Producing a weekly burn rates to share the weekly consumption; 
  • Producing Ad hoc requests;
  • Providing project control support; 
  • Validating that internal and vendor resources are reporting their time on the correct IT number/task;  
  • Ensuring adoption of TDI's methodology, tools and best practices; 
  • Ensuring reporting and appropriate project documentation is properly completed; 
  • Executing and complying with enterprise project methodology and governance standards;
  • Supporting TSPM; 
  • Actioning items;
  • Recording meeting minutes; 
  • Updating project plan;  
  • Following up with TS responsible for forecast purpose; 
  • Validating data integrity such as IT number, rates, names, ID, rcc and standard hours;
  • Analyzing and sharing any conflicts on resources assignations; 
  • Contacting the resources managers for resources assignations; 
  • Planning, monitoring and analyzing financial data and identifying issues;
  • Owning the accurate reporting of project financials; 
  • Ensuring the integrity of financial project data entry into relevant systems; 
  • Creating financial forecast reports; 
  • Reporting on month end;  
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of new processes to align with the new business process and technology solution while maintaining and improving operating efficiency to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow;
  • Providing subject matter expertise on reports and related analysis to project teams, program management resources and business partners; and,
  • Keeping others within the PMO and internal partners informed and up-to-date about all relevant information.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, and relevant experience related to the position;
  • Bilingualism (French and English spoken and written) 
  • Five (5) years of experience as IT PCO;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in Advanced MS Excel including pivot tables and formulas;
  • Five (5) years’ experience using MS SharePoint;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Project financials;
  • Three (3) years’ experience as PCO; 
  • Excellent knowledge of project management tools, processes and methodologies;
  • Excellent analytical skills; 
  • Excellent skills in problem solving; 
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes;
  • Ability to be autonomous, demonstrate leadership and ability to take initiatives;
  • PMP certification (an asset);  
  • Experience with Clarity (an asset); and,
  • Experience communicating with Directors and PMs.
