Eagle is currently seeking a Senior Technical Analyst for a nine (9) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in July.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Enterprise Architects to understand, support, troubleshoot, solution, design, and communicate the new steady state environment to the project, the sustainment team, and the business;
  • Working with the team to understand and assist with the recommended architecture and strategies for problem applications, including identifying solutions and guiding the team from operational deployment to production;
  • Working in collaboration with the team to design and document technical solutions;
  • Assisting with the architecture, design, and support including analysis of user requirements, lab setup, process establishment, ongoing maintenance, patching, cleanup, etc.;
  • Supporting the Test/QA testing environment for Win10 Readiness;
  • Assisting in the testing of customized architecture solutions to preserve similar user experience, support business processes, and minimize the security risk in new environment;
  • Through testing, anticipating and reporting problems areas that would otherwise result in deployment roadblocks or user experience issues;
  • Assisting the teams and vendor partners to design requirements of the overall production environment;
  • Gathering user requirements and assist in defining solutions / processes to address issues;
  • Engaging the Security and Enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment of strategies/technical solutions and adherence to organizational policies;
  • Assisting the team in problem resolution;
  • Assisting in troubleshooting of technical issues and documenting resolutions;
  • Working to support the testing of Caradigm Tap and Go technology for Windows 10 Readiness;
  • Assisting the Team to plan for delivery changes associated with Office 365, Windows 10 Semi Annual Channel (SAC);
  • Identifying and implementing the appropriate infrastructures and support initiatives to minimize disruption associated with testing of applications for Win 10;
  • Working with stakeholders to identify downstream impacts of upcoming projects and assess/plan for Windows 10 readiness;
  • Assisting in development of use cases and requirements; as well as, addressing issues related to: infrastructure, deployment, and architecture where possible;
  • Assisting in the development of business cases, budgets and timelines for technology solutions;
  • Coordinating resolution of server-related application dependencies including application upgrades (as required; and if identified and added to project scope);
  • Assisting in defining scope of services and timelines for proposals to support technical solutioning activities;
  • Supporting the team to implement a viable print solution for Win 10 future statement, including:  current state assessment, future state solutioning, options analysis, cost estimation, and architecture documentation;
  • Assisting with the architecture and implementation of VDI, Thin Client, and Citrix into the Test/QA and a production environment (if required);
  • Aligning and re-use of available assets to effectively deliver infrastructure upgrade;
  • Assisting in the resolution of enterprise level infrastructure problems; and,
  • Effectively balancing business priorities, technology, and resources.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or a related field;
  • An IT infrastructure technical background;
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and technical documentation skills;
  • Experience with Windows 10, Windows 7, and Windows XP application remediation and managed environment infrastructure;
  • Familiarity with software packaging process, application/desktop virtualization, application layering, and software distribution;
  • Experience with Group Policy and Active Directory design in enterprise level capacity;
  • Experience in comprehensive integrated desktop management items; such as mandatory profiles, login scripts, digital certificates deliveries, network drive mapping, printer mapping, white lists, exceptions creation, generic accounts, enterprise test lab and software patching;
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project);
  • Experience with VDI, thin client, and hyper-converge platforms is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical components;
  • Exceptional ability to translate and express technical problems, outcomes and benefits using layperson terms;
  • The ability to isolate sources and find creative technical solutions for complex problems involving multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Experience with Group Policy and Active Directory design in and enterprise level capacity;
  • Experience with output management, peripheral connectivity, and device management;
  • Experience with Project Management process and the ability to propose/manage multiple concurrent projects;
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment;
  • The ability to work independently and within a team, while influencing and supporting;
  • Excellent critical thinking skills; and,
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
