Eagle is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for a one (1) year contract opportunity, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Quality Database;
  • Delivering electronic notifications as QC issues move through the life cycle (new issue > reviewed > assigned > fixed > tested > closed);
  • Providing quality control over content and use of QA database; 
  • Reviewing test results with test coordinators during test cycles; 
  • Defect management including identification, prioritizing, logging, tracking, and triaging of issues according to priority/severity;
  • Collaborating effectively with Test Manager, Project Managers, and Coordinators;
  • Meeting deadlines set out by the Test Manager while meeting quality standards set out by the client;
  • Complying with the client’s policies and procedures that apply to contract staff;
  • Overseeing and/or participating in the test case development, execution of the tests, defect management, and coordination of test activities on projects;
  • Providing discipline and structure during test planning, design sessions, and requirements reviews;
  • Defect management including the identification, prioritizing, logging, tracking, and triaging of issues per the internal Quality Management Plan and Integrated Test Plans;
  • Verification of business requirements and use cases to ensure coverage for building test scripts with business groups and program team;
  • Based on project needs, identify and utilize appropriate testing techniques such as structured and unstructured exploratory testing, manual and automated testing, scripted, and unscripted testing;
  • Collaborating effectively with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Test Manager, and business teams in the preparation of test scripts, test execution, reporting results, defect triage meetings, and generating reports;
  • Coordinating groups in test execution of the product, control systems, changes to business process and software applications, tools, equipment;
  • Evaluating, documenting, and communicating testing results to Program Manager and Test Manager to enable them to make decisions regarding project health with respect to QA;
  • Working closely with other QA resources during projects providing direction, constructive feedback, and celebrating accomplishments;
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior members of the team;
  • Maintaining and expanding professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops, conferences, review of professional publications; 
  • Understanding and practical application of QA practices as it applies;
  • Acting as the liaison between business owners and technologists;
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and contributing to the cohesion and effectiveness of the team;
  • Communicating effectively to identify needs and evaluating alternative solutions;
  • Managing stakeholder expectations effectively; and,
  • Working comfortably on medium to large projects. 

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • A Degree in Technology, Finance, or similar focus;
  • A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in analyzing the QA and test needs for projects, coordinating the execution, mitigating and communicating risks, and reporting on the test results;
  • Experience querying Cloud-based databases, exporting results, and formatting reports; 
  • Experience utilizing a variety of testing techniques including structured and unstructured exploratory testing, white and black box testing, scripted and unscripted testing;
  • Experience in mobile testing: iOS, Android, and mobile web browsers; 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and G-Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, io.Draw, Drive and, Sites);
  • Experience creating clear and concise documentation in the form of test strategies, plans, test scripts, scenarios, checklists, and defects; 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a positive attitude, taking a team-based approach;
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to empower others by sharing knowledge with peers by means of pairing, documentation, and presentations;
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems and technical solutions; 
  • The ability to manage technical discussions/interviews with subject matter experts;
  • Proven ability to meet timelines while delivering quality work while showing initiative to identify and champion ideas for improving efficiency and effectiveness of QA practices and follow through to completion of ideas including documentation;
  • The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a diverse group of constituents;
  • Familiarity with SDLC and with UML (Unified Modeling Language); and,
  • Knowledge of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) Version 1.6 or 2.0 or equivalent charging standard would be considered extremely nice to have.
