Eagle is currently seeking a Senior Systems Analyst for a ten (10) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in August.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Engaging the stakeholders to develop analysis and design overall architecture;
  • The architectural design, development, and supporting the deployment;
  • Defining system solutions based on existing business analysis, BIA, and external manufacturer documentation on cloud-based control systems; 
  • Defining required integration with existing applications, systems based upon BIA’s provided by Business Analysts;
  • Developing architectural documents, specifications, and drawings;
  • Developing scope, test techniques, and tasks;
  • Environment and data test requirements;
  • Test requirements for KPI/metrics of “control systems”;
  • Supporting and facilitating acceptance testing with the technical team;
  • Supporting business participation in system testing, identify, and document detects, re-test (if needed) and report all defects during testing;
  • Verifying corrective and preventative actions as provided by manufacturers; and,
  • Securing business sign-off for initial acceptance and final acceptance (as needed). 

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • A Master’s Degree preferred. A completed Degree in technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution;
  • Ten plus (10+) years’ demonstrated experience as a Systems Analyst or Architect working on enterprise, regional, or division-level solutions; 
  • Three (3) years’ experience and knowledge with Cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, IBM Cloud, and System Services) on private, public, or community clouds;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with emerging technology, such as IaaS, PaaS, and with SaaS in the design, development, test, and deployment of applications;
  • Proven experience documenting existing business process, use cases, developing new processes using Microsoft Visio;
  • Experience working with SOAP/XML over HTTP, MQTT (ISO/IEC PRF 20922), OTA, JSON, XML, HTTPS, IEEE 802.11* and LTE communication is necessary;
  • Understanding cloud-based deployed using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) supporting servers, data storage, and application environments;
  • Experience with SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) based applications, initial configuration, data management (JSON/XML) and analytics (ElasticSearch/Kibana);
  • Technical experience spanning across hardware, software, and cloud-based environments to enable successful candidate to meet program technical objectives: 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and G-Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, Drive, and Sites);
  • Extensive experience in taking program requirements to create an architecture vision to support program goals and objectives;
  • Demonstrated collaboration with a large number of stakeholders (> 50) to ensure a high standard of technical excellence is maintained and timely recommendations are made for the most effective application of technology to meet quality objectives;
  • Understanding of business issues and the data challenges of cloud-based solutions;
  • The ability to be proactive, forward-leaning self-starter, working in a fast-paced organization spread across diverse technical areas using an Agile/Lean methodology;
  • Understanding how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully;
  • Strong technical background with demonstrated technical aptitude in order to quickly understand new technical concepts to communicate effectively to non-technical people via discussions, training sessions, instructional documetnation, and visual diagrams;
  • The ability to engage with the client and external manufacturer to develop a high-level operational architecture and system architecture that meets enterprise needs, as defined by the Program Manager and the client;
  • Extensive experience in the coordination of program and project leaders to identify requirements for design architecture;
  • Experience developing relationships with stakeholders that foster collaborative approach;
  • The ability to communicate effectively to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions;
  • Demonstrated experience working on in a team environment, with tight time lines and on medium to large projects is required;
  • TOGF and IIBA certification is preferred;
  • Experience with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation); specifically using pool, lanes and tasks within collaboration diagrams, building activity descriptions and using gateways, events, transactions, data and choreographies is nice to have;
  • Experience with Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) Version 1.6 or equivalent charging standard is preferred; and,
  • Experience with electric vehicle technology SAE standards would be an asset.
