Manager of Data Analytics

Eagle is currently seeking a Manager of Data Analytics for a permanent placement opportunity, scheduled to begin in April 2018.

Key Responsibilities of a Manager of Data Analytics

  • Assist in the documentation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Company’s pricing strategies;
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation around pricing processes and related procedures;
  • Maintain price files, ensuring proper authorization for changes;
  • Identify and report any pricing anomalies;
  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to drive sales, margin or foot traffic;
  • In coordination with the Merchandising team;
  • Assist in the documentation of the new item creation and item maintenance processes and related procedures;
  • Create new items in RMS, ensuring all required information is captured and appropriate authorization is obtained;
  • Maintenance of barcodes, supplier information, and other item properties as required;
  • Detection and correction of errors;
  • Various periodic reporting including weekly sales reports and promotion results;
  • Development of KPIs;
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required;
  • Ensure inputs, outputs and deliverables are high quality, accurate and timely;
  • Identify customer requirements and meet or exceed expectations;
  • Create, modify, or enhance reports as required to meet internal and external customer needs;
  • Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with peers;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other business units;
  • Interact with and support Operations and Business Technology;
  • Contribute suggestions adding value to the business;
  • Take initiative to identify and suggest improvements to job related processes, workflows, and procedures;

Skills and Qualifications of a Manager of Data Analytics

  • Experience with sales, inventory, and margins;
  • One to three (1-3) years of relevant experience required;
  • Formal education (certificate, diploma, or degree) in a technical or management field desired;
  • Computer literate with demonstrated ability to adapt new programs/systems;
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel;
  • An business savvy professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Loves to work with metrics and numbers;
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to build rapport with internal/external stakeholders and customers quickly;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Team player who is passionate about supporting the overall success of the business;
  • Uphold ethics, confidentiality, and demonstrate a high level of discretion at all times;
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a high degree of initiative and autonomy;
  • Confident asking for clarification and meticulous about taking ownership of and following-up on accountabilities to ensure deadlines and goals are met;
  • Effectively copes with and is enthusiastic for change;
  • Ability to work in ambiguity, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously while executing against key deliverables with excellence;
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and the ability to produce work free of errors;
  • Customer focused with a positive and professional demeanor;
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
  • Must pass a basic security clearance.
