Eagle is currently seeking a Test Lead/Senior QA. This is an eighteen (18) month, contract position scheduled to start in February.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and devising software testing project deliverables, including test strategy, detailed test plan/approach, test cases, test results summary and defect management tracking and resolution;
  • Coordinating or developing test requirements as required and performing gap analysis between technical design specifications and business requirements;
  • Participating in backlog and sprint planning and providing feedback on stories and epics, esp. as it pertains to testability;
  • Participating in and presenting status at daily huddles;
  • Participating in retrospectives and sprint reviews;
  • Consulting with developers and business analysts to evaluate system and user interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system;
  • Recommending design improvements or corrections to business analysts and developers throughout the development process;
  • Applying risk-based testing to projects and report risk assessment back to the team; identifying, analyzing and responding to project risks as necessary;
  • Working closely with the Product owners, test team, and scrum masters to plan and understand workload and testing resource capacity;
  • Defining test methods and create test strategies, plans and scenarios;
  • Working to incorporate quality assurance standards and practices that apply to the project delivery methodology and link to Quality Assurance Community of Practice to understand evolving standards and practices;
  • Working to support the evolution of testing practices to support digital delivery (agile) effectiveness;
  • Overseeing the generation of test cases that cover functional, load, capacity, security, regression, and user acceptance testing;
  • Overseeing the execution of test plans and creating test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction;
  • Performing defect reporting and provide product feedback based on customer requirements;
  • Providing team leadership; and train, coach and mentor other members of test teams;
  • Maintaining effective communication with the project software developers and business analysts on product limitations, capabilities, and potential performance impacts; and,
  • Interacting and adapting to client and partner requirements; managing changes to the test regime as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Minimum of a Reliability security clearance;
  • Experience developing test strategies and associated plans centered on modern web development and content management platforms;
  • Experience developing test cases to accommodate web applications;
  • Experience developing test strategies and plans that cross data domains and systems and require multi-party interlocking testing;
  • Experience using Agile planning and management tools like Jira, TFS, etc. for the development of test cases and managing defects;
  • Experience conducting defect management meetings;
  • Experience leading and supporting User Acceptance Testing;
  • Knowledge of and experience with implementation of automated regression tests, preferably with the Selenium framework;
  • Experience with Test strategy and test plan creation;
  • Experience with Test development against agile story maps;
  • Ability to understand business requirements;
  • Experience with Black box & white box testing;
  • Experience with Bug reporting & tracking tools;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent time management, task planning and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing client requirements;
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members;
  • Extensive SDLC experience and knowledge, esp. as it pertains to agile software development;
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
  • Knowledge and experience with test and defect management using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) (an asset); and,
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Experience Manager development and testing (an asset).
