Eagle is currently seeking two (2) Senior Infrastructure Analyst for six (6) month contract opportunities, scheduled to begin immediately.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Performance analysis and fine tuning of SAN/NAS infrastructure;
  • Capacity management and planning of SAN/NAS infrastructure;
  • Maintaining storage infrastructure, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, planning, and implementation of SAN/NAS firmware patch updates;
  • Monitoring systems and respond to incidents, service outages, and service requests;
  • Supporting multiple connectivity protocols like CIFS, NFS, FC, and iSCSI;
  • Automating system monitoring and maintenance tasks by creating scripts and applications or identifying and evaluating off the shelf tools;
  • Coordinating and install hardware, OS, software, and patch upgrades;
  • Managing data backup and archiving systems;
  • Creating and modifying documentation of operational systems and procedures;
  • Creating or modify processes to streamline server builds and other routine tasks;
  • Managing projects or tasks of projects to successful and timely completion;
  • Documenting operational impacts, training peers;
  • Providing on-call (after business hours) support to maintain systems availability;
  • Raising incidents to third party support as required (i.e. NetApp, VMware, Cisco, Veritas, etc.); and,
  • Ensuring the security of systems and respond promptly to security incidents. 

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidates must have:

  • A BS Degree in an IT related field or equivalent training and experience managing systems in an enterprise, mission critical environment;
  • Ten (10) years’ experience;
  • Three plus (3+) years’ experience with NetApp for administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting; 
  • Two plus (2+) years’ experience programming with PowerShell for system administration;
  • Solid experience with NetApp replication technologies;
  • Experience supporting multiple connectivity protocols like FC, FCOE, CIFS, NFS, and iSCSI;
  • Experience with Data Protection technologies, such as Symantec Veritas Netbackup;
  • Working knowledge of Brocade Fabric (SAN switches) management and troubleshooting;
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (compute and storage);
  • In depth knowledge of NetApp FAS hardware;
  • In depth knowledge of NetApp OnTap 7-mode and Clustered mode;
  • In depth knowledge of NetApp suite of backup products including SnapManager for Exchange, OCUM, SnapVault, and SnapMirror;
  • The ability to track and forecast storage and backup infrastructure capacity;
  • Certifications in 7-Mode and Clustered Data OnTap are an asset;
  • Familiarity with Veritas Netbackup administration is an asset;
  • VMWare knowledge is an asset;
  • Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016 knowledge is an asset;
  • Solaris and Linux knowledge is an asset;
  • Cloud IaaS knowledge for AWS is an asset;
  • Proven ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients, support staff, vendors, and service providers;
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues in complex environments; and,
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team when necessary.
