Developer Specialist

Eagle is currently seeking a Developer Specialist for a ten (10) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in May.

Key Responsibilities of a Developer Specialist

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a suite of .Net applications;
  • Collaborate with client to determine business needs and requirements;
  • Collaborate with local and regional Delivery Centre team members; 
  • Prepare functional and technical specifications;
  • Design solutions to meet complex customer needs;
  • Design and develop application components;
  • Identify technical and operational risks and provide solution recommendations;
  • Upgrade and modify application components;
  • Develop estimates for application enhancements/upgrades;
  • Complete change requests;
  • Mentor junior members of the team;
  • Resolve incidents and document known errors and work-arounds;
  • Determine root causes of problems and recommend alternative solutions;
  • Ocasionally work extended hours and/or weekends in support of implementations and/or periodic maintenance activities;
  • Participate actively as a member of a design/development team;
  • Review, implement, and verify complex releases or changes/solutions; and,
  • Oversee configuration management processes, resolve issues, and implement processes to improve efficiencies.

Skills and Qualifications of a Developer Specialist

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Five (5) years’ experience with .NET using C#;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with WCF (Windows communication Foundation);
  • Five (5) years’ experience with WFP (Windows Presentation Foundation);
  • Five (5) years’ experience with WF (Windows Workflow Foundation);
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Windows Forms;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with SQL Service Broker;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);
  • Five (5) years’ experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS);
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Visual studio suite 2008-2012;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Microsoft IIS 7+;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2013 – 2015;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Windows 2008 R2.
